THIS IS THE LAST PAIR OF THESE HYDRAULIC SHOCK UNITS WE HAVE.. If anyone has been following our listings and saw our past sales we had quite a few pairs that were in a shop we closed down three years ago. The OEM harley davidson part number is 54501-61p, listed in the harley parts manual as "REAR SHOCK ABSORBER, less spring, retainers & guides". You would be required to reuse the spring, retainers and guide's following the instructions in the harley davidson sprint service manual. We have utilized these hydraulic units on other 1962 - 1967 C & H model 250cc sprints when doing a restorations. We've found the major difference was the spring compression rate of the later models. The hydraulic unit fully extended is 10.5 inches long. These aermacchi harley davidson ceriani rear shock hydraulic units are not cheap, but take a good look at them and you can see why. There are no signs of them ever being mounted. They have some paint worn off from being shaken around in the boxes from shelf wear, the original "italian red" color is excellent for being boxed up for 60+/- years. There are no signs of them leaking, the shafts move up and down without issues.
