The OEM harley davidson part number is 54501-61p, listed in the harley parts manual as "REAR SHOCK ABSORBER, less spring, retainers & guides". You would be required to reuse the spring, retainers and guide's following the instructions in the harley davidson sprint service manual. We have utilized these hydraulic units on other 1962 - 1967 C & H model 250cc sprints when doing a restorations. We've found the major difference was the spring compression rate of the later models. The hydraulic unit fully extended is 10.5 inches long.
